John joins Dakchyata as an international skills sector expert with extensive experience of contributing to international development projects and programmes. This has included TVET sector capacity building programmes in Tanzania, South Africa, Rwanda, India and Sudan. He has experience in proving advisory and policy input for UK and overseas government initiatives.

He has a professional background in the UK’s Further Education College (TVET) sector including working as a director in the national agency. He has also held senior roles in the UK’s Sector Skills Council sector. This experience has given him an excellent insight into skills development priorities from both demand and supply side perspectives. Since January 2019, John has been supporting Dakchyata in his role as ‘TVET Employer Partnership Expert’ which has included working closely with CTEVT in the development of the SEECS project, and five employer associations through the ELMS project.
